The Fourth Street Neighborhood Watch was founded in the Fall of 2003. It currently includes the area of Fourth Street which is a neighborhood of townhouses. The group has a strong sense of commitment and has plans to expand from Fourth Street to Sperryville Pike and to Yowell Meadow Park.
The mission of this new group is to provide public safety through crime prevention to improve the quality and safety of life in the neighborhood by reporting suspicious behavior and actions. The group works together to strengthen the ties that bind the members as neighbors and to protect the rights of the community and those who live there by showing concern for each other and each other's property.
