On behalf of the men and women of the Town of Culpeper, Virginia Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our web site.  The Town of Culpeper, Virginia is located approximately 75 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. and has a population of approximately 15,000 residents.

The Culpeper Police Department is a nationally accredited, full service, law enforcement agency that has primary law enforcement authority within the 6.5 square miles of Culpeper.  The police Department is composed of 42 police officers, 9 civilian employees and 10 reserve and auxiliary officers.

Each of these individuals is a well trained law enforcement professional, or civilian staff member, dedicated to providing our community with high quality service in a courteous, and professional manner.  The Culpeper Police Department is committed to the safety of the town’s citizens and we look forward to the opportunity of working in partnership with citizens and all government agencies to ensure this end.
