Scott H. Barlow

Scott joined the Newport News Police Department in 1986, and retired in April 2007.  During his career he commanded the Training and Recruiting Division, Narcotics Division, Tactical Operations Unit, and completed his career as Commander of Central Precinct.

He joined the Culpeper Police Department in May 2007 as it's fourth Police Chief. 

He is a graduate of the Administrative Officers Management Program through North Carolina State University.  He holds a Masters Degree in Government from Christopher Newport University and a Undergraduate Degree in Business Management from Virginia Wesleyan College.

He and his wife Becky own a home in Rixeyville, VA and he has two children, Jerome and Samantha, who reside in Newport News VA.
