The Police Department functions on two 12-hour shifts daily. The officers are assigned to one of the four shifts for a tour of one year at which time they can request to transfer to a different shift.
The shifts run from:
6 am to 6 pm (day)
6 pm to 6 am (night)
The officers assigned to the motor patrol and the K9 teams work overlapping shifts to assist the regular patrol officers. |
