The Culpeper Police Department competed in the 6th annual Culpeper Soapbox Derby on Saturday, June 21, 2008 on Blueridge Ave. Austin Hickman was this years driver for the newly formed team. The car was completly sponsored by the employees of the Culpeper Police Department. Austin Hickman was crowned the 2008 Champion in the Super Stock Division. It was an outstanding day for the C.P.D. Racing Team. The grudge match between the Culpeper Sheriff's Office and the Culpeper Town Police didn't go has we had planned. The Culpeper Sheriff's Office beat us in the grudge race!!!! This was a great day for both agencies since both drivers are winners and great sports.
